3. Pneumatic transmission

The pneumatic transmission clamping device has many features of the hydraulic transmission clamping device. It can use the compressed air for inflating the parison, without the need for another power source, and the working environment is clean. However, the pneumatic transmission has higher requirements on the quality of the compressed air, and the compressed air must be dry, clean, and oil-free; when the mold is opened and closed by air pressure, it will generate a large impact force and make a large noise. It is suitable for the production of various types of extrusion blow molded containers.

4. Electric motors and electromagnets

A new type of mold clamping device is provided with an electric motor and an electromagnet. By driving the rotary motor, the link mechanism is stretched and retracted, and the movable platen is moved forward and backward, so as to realize the action of closing and opening the mold; after the mold is closed, the electromagnet is driven to generate an attractive force, so as to perform mold clamping. In this way, no bending moment acts on the movable platen, no strain occurs on the mold mounting surface of the movable platen, and the clamping force can be easily controlled.
